3691 Leeds Avenue New Site for
In Person Absentee Voting
As of October 2012, 3691 Leeds Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405 is the new site for in person absentee voting. In person Absentee voting will begin on Monday, October 8th and end on Monday, November 5th.
Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. This site is also open on Saturday, October 20th and Saturday, October 27th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Absentee voters will need to bring one of the following ID’s to vote, Voter Registration Card, South Carolina Driver’s License, or the South Carolina DMV issued ID.

Who Qualifies to Vote Absentee?
Any registered who cannot go to their polling place on Election Day. Call (843) 744-8683 for details today. Get your ballot by mail or vote in person.
- Home Bound or Elderly
- Serving in the Military
- Working
- On Vacation
- In College
- Serving Jury Duty
- Serving Pre-trial Detention
- Attending a Funeral
- Poll Workers
- And many more voters are eligible to vote absentee
- Application for absentee ballot must be completed and returned to the Election Commission Office. A ballot will then be mailed to the voter.
- Voter must mark ballot and return it to the Election Office by Election Day.
- The voter's signature must be witnessed to be counted.
- Correct postage is required if ballot is mailed.
- Starting Monday, October 8, 2012 voters may go to 3691 Leeds Avenue and vote absentee on a machine.
